Haliey Welch, the “Hawk Tuah” Girl, has a tattoo you’ve probably never seen. But she recently disclosed where it is.
Welch, an overnight sensation, could remain relevant for some time after coining the phrase noted above and has been rubbing shoulders with some famous people as of late.
She just had breakfast with Rolling Stone, enjoying her first-ever café Cubano at the Pinewood Social in Nashville, Tennessee while being interviewed by the prestigious publication.
Welch divulged some of her backstory, telling RS her paternal grandmother raised her from nine months old, and they still live together. She has regular contact with her dad, a farmhand, but has never had anything to do with her mother.
The 21-year-old also revealed she got a tattoo on her right ribcage last winter, which reads, “Still I Rise.”
“After all the s**t I’ve been through? Still I rise,” she explained.
The “Hawk Tuah” Girl Hopes To Do Some Good
Hailey has hired a management team on account of her “Hawk Tuah” phrase going viral and is hopeful of getting into comedy.
Still, she didn’t seem sure of what’s next, though there are reports claiming she’s nearing a reality TV deal. Whatever it is, she wants to do some good.
“Maybe this was, like, God’s gift to me or something,” she said. “Everything that’s gonna come from this, it’s gonna be something good.”
“I want to do something that actually matters and make a difference,” she added. “That’s what the world needs.”
While he works in mysterious ways, “Hawk Tuah” would have to be the most unexpected attempt at changing the world yet.
