Cincinnati Bengals Stun The NFL By Going “All-In” & Landing Star QB In Blockbuster Trade Proposal After Joe Burrow Injury

The Cincinnati Bengals are going to be without Joe Burrow, quite possibly for the remainder of the year.

The star QB left the game during the second quarter after a tackle and was reportedly seen in a walking boot and crutches postgame. Burrow is expected to miss at least three months.

Burrow will undergo surgery on his left foot to repair a turf toe injury he suffered in the team’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The quarterback was sacked by Jaguars defensive tackle Arik Armstead and went to the sideline and into the medical tent after the play. He came out briefly with a limp and went to the locker room.

Three months from now would put us in mid-December. If the Bengals are out of the playoff race, then there would be zero reason to bring him back in 2025.

Jake Browning came into the game for Joe Burrow and completed 21-of-32 with 241 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.

The Bengals need a proven veteran quarterback to come in and possibly help save their 2025 season.

The Cincinnati Bengals Could Replace An Injured Joe Burrow By Trading For Kirk Cousins

In a Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow would leave and not return. That return is now slated for December.

Backup quarterback Jake Browning came in to relieve Burrow and got the win. He has played in 12 NFL games, but it is unknown if he could keep this team afloat while Burrow is out.

That has led to a major trade scenario where the Bengals could go after Kirk Cousins.

A new trade proposal has the team trading away a 2026 5th-round pick and a 2025 7th-round pick to get the backup quarterback. That seems like a small price to pay to save the season.

If Cousins, who has been at the center of trade rumors involving the 49ers, can keep the team afloat, then Joe Burrow might be healed just enough to return for the final few weeks and help the team advance to the playoffs.
