Jaguars Superstar WR Brian Thomas Jr. Gets Called Out By The Internet And His Own HC For Playing “Scared” & Making Multiple Business Decisions vs. Bengals [VIDEOS]

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen and football fans teed off on star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. over his lack of effort on some plays in Sunday’s heartbreaking 31-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Even though Joe Burrow was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with turf toe and torn ligaments, the Jaguars had no answers for the Bengals’ offense. Backup QB Jake Browning had three total touchdowns in Cincy’s thrilling comeback win.

Some disgruntled fans pointed the finger at the officials over a questionable pass interference call on Travis Hunter while defending against Andrei Iosivas. However, others are citing Brian Thomas Jr.’s lackluster efforts during certain plays.

Thomas Jr. dropped an easy pass from Trevor Lawrence on this play, and it certainly looked like he was too scared of getting hit:

And this costly drop on what should have been a touchdown:

Coach Coen and disgruntled fans called out Thomas.

“I gotta go watch it and just go figure out what that was all about, and what it looked like,” Coen said after the game, per Jason Hamby of Action News Jax.

“GET BRIAN THOMAS JR OFF THIS TEAM,” one fan wrote.

“I can’t believe BTJ stands for Blow The JagsIntoAMillionPieces,” a user said.

“BTJ needs to lose a game check. Should be benched or traded,” wrote another.

“Brian Thomas did not want to be here today,” a fan commented.

“Unacceptable,” said a user.

“This pissed me off. Why is he playing scared?” asked another.

Thomas Jr. has only five catches for 60 yards and one rushing TD through his first two games.
