Kayla Nicole has never been shy about discussing her past relationship with Travis Kelce, despite receiving major backlash for it.
The sports journalist and model has been the subject of much online conversation since Kelce and Swift’s relationship went public.
When it comes to how she feels about her ex-boyfriend of five years being engaged, she is keeping her thoughts to herself.
The 33-year-old sports reporter, who dated the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for five years before their 2022 split, was stopped on the red carpet by Daily Mail on Thursday at a New York Fashion Week event.
When asked about Kelce’s proposal to Swift. Nicole simply replied, “Oh, no, no, no.”
“But I’m really happy to be here at Champion, though!” she added. “This is a good party.”
Although Kayla Nicole, who said she was previously triggered by questions surrounding her, avoided addressing the engagement, she did confirm that she is single and spoke about what she values in a partner. “I love a very honest man,” she said. “A man of really great character. Someone who likes to have fun. Spontaneous, great relationship with their family, and has really good girlfriends. The list is long!”

Kayla Nicole stepped out publicly for the first time since her ex, Travis Kelce, announced his engagement to Taylor Swift.
She had to know that eventually she would face questions about her ex being engaged.
Although she sidestepped questions about it, she has been called out previously for taking shots at Swift.
The on-air reporter was screenshot by Instagram users over liking a post that said, “Exs be trying to make you jealous with the ugliest people… B–ch f–k you and your new pet turtle.”
An even worse post she liked said, “Whoever is f–king my ex needs to do a better job cause they are still texting me.”
Unlike in a normal relationship, Nicole will constantly be bombarded by updates about her ex since Swift is such a huge pop star. An impending marriage is not going to help matters.
