Someone Unearthed Charlie Kirk’s Haunting 11-Year-Old Tweet That Has Everyone Freaked Out Following His Death

It’s the kind of thing that no one wants to be true. A single tweet from 2014 suddenly feels like it has found its way to the future. Eleven years ago, Charlie Kirk wrote, “Did I just get shot by an AR-15? Feels like it.”

Fast forward to September 10, 2025, and the conservative activist lay severely wounded at Utah Valley University. Kirk had just begun a debate for his Turning Point USA brand when gunfire erupted. Within seconds, the crowd of 3,000 was left confused about what had happened.

Eyewitness Emma Pitts, a reporter for Deseret News, told the BBC, “We all dropped to the ground, and I want to say we sat like that for about 30 to 45 seconds, and then everyone around us got up and started running.” The fear in her voice was enough for anyone to understand the seriousness.

Kirk’s 2014 tweet has now resurfaced across social media. The eerie words have created disbelief, grief, and endless discussion. The post had more than 93,000 reactions at the time, but today it feels heavier than ever.

Authorities have not confirmed what weapon the shooter used. Reports say around 25 million AR-15 style rifles sit in American homes, often at the center of debates about mass shootings. That connection makes Kirk’s old words even harder to shake.
