Chelsea Clinton Eyeing Run For Congress: Report –

With longtime Representative Jerry Nadler announcing his retirement after more than three decades in Congress, speculation is mounting over who will inherit his influential seat in New York’s 12th District. Among the names resurfacing in political discussions is Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Although Clinton has repeatedly and firmly stated she has no interest in running for elected office, her name continues to be floated by Democratic strategists. The fact that she remains part of the conversation underscores the enduring weight of the Clinton legacy within Democratic politics.

Nadler’s exit marks the end of an era. First elected in 1992, he became one of the party’s most prominent figures, most notably serving as chair of the House Judiciary Committee during Donald Trump’s first impeachment. In announcing his decision to step aside, Nadler pointed to President Biden’s decision not to seek reelection and stressed the need for “younger leadership” to confront the challenges of a shifting political landscape.
