Taylor Swift as a Super Bowl halftime performer? NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is ready for it.
In a guest spot on the Today show on Wednesday, Sept. 3, the league leader rolled out the welcome mat for the “Fortnight” singer, and said the newly engaged superstar is “welcome” to book a future engagement at the big game.
“We would always love to have Taylor play,” Goodell said. “She is a special, special talent. And obviously, she would be welcome at any time.”
When co-host Savannah Guthrie asked if it was “in the works” or a “maybe,” Goodell didn’t drop the ball.
“I can’t tell you anything about that,” he said. “It’s a maybe.”
Goodell then added that he was “waiting on my friend Jay-Z” to handle the logistics.

Currently, Swift’s focus is on her next LP, The Life of a Showgirl, which drops on Oct. 3. It features 12 tracks, a few alternative covers and a collaboration with friend and former Eras Tour opener, Sabrina Carpenter.
