King Charles faces pushback over Harry peace talks as Prince William calls it a ‘terrible idea’: report

King Charles is reportedly facing some internal pushback over his rumored upcoming peace talks with estranged son Prince Harry.

The monarch, 76, will reportedly meet with the Duke of Sussex, 40, next week — marking their first in-person reunion in a whopping 20 months.

And while the duo’s meeting is sure to signal that things are heading in the right direction, insiders last week suggested that Prince William had rejected his brother’s invitation to chat.

Sources claim that the Prince of Wales, 43, strongly opposes his brother being granted any formal — or informal — audiences with members of the royal family.

“Ultimately, William is a loyal soldier,” a friend of the future king told the Daily Beast.
