Jason Kelce had a sweet message for his brother Travis Kelce and new fiancée Taylor Swift.
In an Aug. 27 Instagram post for the Kelces’ “New Heights” podcast, the elder Kelce shared a special message to his brother and Swift following the news of their recent engagement.
“We felt it necessary as a team here at ‘New Heights’ to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged!” he yelled. “The proposal heard ‘round the world. F— yeah!”
Jason noted that Travis wasn’t present to comment on his recent engagement since the podcast was recorded on Monday, Aug. 25 — his day off. However, fans can tune in next week to hopefully hear Travis Kelce talk about his engagement himself.
On Aug. 26, the Kansas City Chiefs star and Swift announced they had gotten engaged in a sweet post they shared on Instagram.
It said, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
The post featured a series of photos of the couple standing in a majestic garden and embracing. In one of the snaps, Travis Kelce is seen proposing to Swift while down on one knee and in another, the pop star is seen showing off her ring, which is an old mine diamond designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
According to Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, his son proposed about two weeks ago at a garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” he told ABC News 5 Cleveland. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”
