Dallas Cowboys wide receiver had a terse, one-word reaction after a reporter revealed what team owner Jerry Jones had to say about his contract negotiations.
Lamb, who is holding out for a new deal, is not happy with the Cowboys right now and has removed the words “America’s Team” from his bio on X/Twitter this week following claims from Jones that there’s no urgency to agree an extension with him.
Lamb had a career year in 2023, recording 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is heading into the final year of his rookie contract, with his fifth-year option set to pay him $17.9 million, which is in stark contrast to the $140 million extension Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson was handed this offseason.
The Cowboys star is staying away from the team amid the contract talks, but Jones told reporters that there has been progress.
“We’re getting great work [done] and making real progress,” he said, per Cowboys reporter Nick Harris. “I don’t think [we’re] losing a step with where we are now.”

Asked whether there was “a sense of urgency as the preseason begins to get something done,” Jones said no, which prompted a reaction from Lamb as he took to X/Twitter to laugh it off with a simple “lol.”
