Team USA is on the brink of securing one more gold medal for the country. The American men’s baseball team has only one game left to dazzle everyone at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After winning five straight games against several teams, Team USA will play the gold medal game against France on August 11th. However, before the final game for his country this year, one of the star players of Team USA made a big announcement regarding the next Olympics appearance. According to recent reports by NBA Insider Ron Kroichick, the American men’s basketball Team’s Center, Joel Embiid, might play for Cameroon in the next Olympics.
“It’s been a good experience. It’s been a grind, being away from home and family for a few weeks. But the group of guys we have made it easy. Paris is a great city and the next one is LA. It might not be with Team USA, it might be with Cameroon.” Kroichick wrote in his latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Embiid, who recently taunted the French crowd, had a positive experience representing Team USA with great players and praised Paris. He mentioned that he will be playing for Cameroon in the next Olympics instead of the USA. Embiid, a Cameroonian-American professional basketball player, is a star player for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. The seven-time NBA All-Star was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, to military officer Thomas Embiid. Representing his birthplace will be fascinating to see for Cameroon fans.
