VIDEO: Chicago Bears Veteran Reacts To His Embarrassing 31 Overall Madden 25 Rating, And NFL Fans Are Loving It

Madden 25 ratings are a huge deal for some NFL players as they grew up playing the game, and being in it is a dream come true. Some players get the rating of their dreams, like Christian McCaffrey at 99, and some do not so much.

This season, Madden 25 is giving fans the option to affect their favorite players’ ratings, and they have just revealed one of the worst ratings in the game for a Chicago Bears player who not many NFL fans may know.

36-year-old Patrick Scales plays long snapper for the Chicago Bears and is an astounding 31 overall, but some fans believe that rating is unfair. The NFLer responded to the rating in a skit about ratings being important to some players.

In the skit video posted originally to Bears X, the veteran can be seen getting upset with his rating, crumpling a paper in his hand, and throwing it. He also pulls out an emotional line: “I am more than just my Madden rating.”

In the video, he can also talk with an unknown person on the phone before cutting back to the camera, where he emotionally states that he is human. NFL fans love the video, which is an ad for the Madden Rating Hotline.

One reason his rating may be this low is that the game refuses to give the long snappers their own position. One fan pointed this out by asking, “When is Madden finally just going to give LS their own position?”

Another commenter even vouched for the 36-year-old NFL long-snapper, stating that they should give him a higher rating. The fan commented, “At least give bro a 61,” while pointing out that 31 is way too low.

Another commenter even put himself in Scales’s place, saying that he’d “die” if he got a rating as low as 31. To be fair, the rating is quite embarrassing. In all seriousness, good on Scales for taking the bomb of a rating on the chin!
