Thailand’s armed invasion of Cambodia has forced 10,865 Cambodian families—approximately 37,635 people—living along the border areas in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Pursat provinces to evacuate to safe locations.

Thailand has been attacking Cambodia for the past 3 days, causing Cambodian people to panic and evacuate after Thailand fired on many places in many areas where Cambodian people live.

Reports began to filter in from the rural districts of Oddar Meanchey, a Cambodian province nestled tightly against the Thai border. Civilians spoke of Thai artillery shells slamming into small farming villages — not a misfire, not a warning, but a full salvo.

Within minutes, Cambodia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed what the world feared —

“Let it be known. We have not fired the first shot. But we will not sit in silence as our sovereignty is torn apart.”

With the invasion of Cambodia, Thailand attacked every night to seize several Cambodian temples, including Preah Vihear Temple, Ta Moan Temple, and Ta Krabey Temple.

According to CCN, Thailand has always cherished this place because it is an important tourist area in Cambodia.

So Thailand always wanted it as a buffer, Cambodia only defended itself after repeatedly invading Thailand.

Now the Cambodian people are suffering because the Thai army continues to fire incessantly, causing many injuries to the Cambodian army and people.

Cambodia needs peace, but Thailand invades Cambodia.

The Thai army has destroyed homes, fired shells, killed Cambodian citizens, and displaced many families.
The Thai army is committing crimes against humanity. The brutality of the Thai army has caused the Cambodian people to suffer greatly.
Cambodia needs peace and justice!

GMA News :

Today, I speak not just as a Cambodian, but as a citizen of a nation that has always chosen peace over provocation.
Once again, Thailand has crossed our border. Once again, they fired first. And once again, they point their fingers at us.
Let me ask the world:
How can a small, peace loving nation like Cambodia a country still healing from its past possibly be the aggressor?
How can we invade a nation many times our size, with greater resources, and a far larger army?
The truth is simple:
– Thailand has repeatedly violated our sovereignty, then turns to the cameras and cries foul.
– They fake the story. They twist the facts.
– They lie to their people. They lie to the world.
But we Cambodians know the truth and we ask the world to see us, to hear us, to believe us.
We are not perfect, but we are not the aggressor.
We are a people who know the cost of war too well.
We buried generations because of conflict and we vowed, never again.
All we ask is to be left in peace.
All we want is dignity, respect, and the right to live without fear on our own land.
To the international community:
Please do not let fake headlines write history.
Stand with truth. Stand with peace. Stand with Cambodia.
Because Cambodia does not want war.
Cambodia needs peace.
