A snoozy moment for Hugh Grant has gone viral.

While attending the 2025 Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday, July 9, with his wife, Swedish producer Anna Elisabet Eberstein, the 64-year-old actor was spotted falling asleep amid the men’s singles quarter-final tennis match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli.

Video of Grant’s mid-game nap shows the Brit, wearing a pair of stylish sunglasses, nodding off while sitting in the Royal Box at London’s premier tennis event. An earlier clip shared by Wimbledon’s Instagram account shows Grant when he was a bit more alert.

Seated just a few feet away in front of Grant was Queen Camilla, making the situation all the more viral.

Internet commentary about the Heretic star falling asleep included one X user finding it “rude” given how hard it is to attend a Wimbledon championship match.

“People have been queuing since 3am to get into Wimbledon to have a chance of being able to be at this match or even to watch it on the big screen in the grounds. And Hugh Grant slept through the tie break. Frankly, I think it is rude,” a user wrote on X.

BBC Sport’s official X account made light of the moment, writing, “It’s all got a bit too much for Hugh Grant 😴😂.”

Queen Camilla attended the 10th day of the Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, speaking with seven-time Wimbledon champ Djokovic ahead of his match.

A noteworthy couple spotted at Wimbledon was Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro, who were seen at the tennis club during Wimbledon on Sunday, July 6. They both sported all-white Ralph Lauren ensembles and could be seen holding hands as they entered the event space.
