A major controversy is unfolding after iPhone users supposedly discovered some curious subliminal messaging involving Donald Trump.
Apple’s voice-to-text feature is under some scrutiny in the wake of a video first surfacing on TikTok and going viral. The clip showed a user voicing the word “racist” and the word “Trump” showing up on the screen before quickly switching to “racist.”
Several other iPhone users have since tried it for themselves, later reporting the feature does the same for them.

The folks at FOX News have also claimed to bring up the same results, although it did not happen on every attempt.
“Fox News Digital was able to replicate the issue multiple times,” the outlet reported. “However, “Trump” did not appear every time a user said “racist.”
According to FOX News, the feature also produced other words like “reinhold” after users said, “racist.”
Apple Has Addressed The Curious Issue Following Several iPhone Users Showing Their Models Bringing Up Donald Trump’s Name For The Word “Racist”
An Apple spokesperson claimed the company was addressing the issue on Tuesday.
“We are aware of an issue with the speech recognition model that powers Dictation, and we are rolling out a fix as soon as possible,” they said.
The company also said the speech recognition models that aid the voice-to-text function may temporarily show words with some phonetic overlap before landing on the correct word, and that the issue affects other words with the “r” consonant.
This is not a first for Donald Trump as far as technology sparking controversy. Last September, another viral video showed the Amazon Alexa virtual assistant explaining reasons for voting for former Vice President Kamala Harris but refusing to provide responses for Trump queries.
