VIDEO: Football Fans Are Destroying The Colorado Buffaloes For Doing The Strangest Thing With The Names On The Back Of Their Jerseys

Football fans are teeing off on the Colorado Buffaloes after a video showed the team doing something different with the names on the back of their jerseys.

The Colorado Buffaloes’ X/Twitter account posted a video of quarterback Shedeur Sanders throwing a dime of a pass during training camp. You’ll notice that the name on the back of the jersey reads “@ShedeurSanders” which is his social media handle:

That’s right. The Colorado football players wore jerseys with their social media handles on the back, instead of their regular names. You can probably guess how fans reacted to this:

Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes were among the top stories early in the 2023 NCAA football season. They jumped out to a perfect 3-0 start, including a stunning season-opening win over the 2022 runner-up TCU Horned Frogs.

The Buffaloes lost nine of their final 12 games to finish 4-8. Nonetheless, year one of “Prime Time” was a modest success considering that Colorado won just a single game in the 2022 season.

There’s good reason to believe that Prime Time’s Buffaloes will be even better this year. For one, the offensive line will improve drastically with several newcomers arriving via the transfer portal, including Matthew Bedford and Kahlil Benson of Indiana and Tyler Johnson of Houston.

Shedeur Sanders was the most sacked quarterback in the country last year, but that shouldn’t be the case in 2024. On top of that, two-way superstar Travis Hunter will hopefully be healthy after missing three games with a lacerated liver.

Shedeur is projected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. If he can build off last year’s surprising success, he might even be the first QB selected.

Colorado Buffaloes Open Season vs. North Dakota State

The Buffaloes will try and begin 2024 on a high note when they open the year against the North Dakota State Biso at home on Thurs, Aug. 29 (8:00 pm. EST).
