On Tuesday, Jason Kelce supported the women’s Olympics rugby team by wearing a shirt featuring Ilona Maher’s face.
Now that Jason Kelce officially retired from the NFL, he’s taken on a new gig: cheering for the United States women’s rugby team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center, 36, was seen showing his support for the team on Tuesday wearing a short-sleeved button-up shirt that featured the face of player Ilona Maher.
Kelce gave fans a clear view of his statement shirt on X (formerly Twitter), posing for a picture for his @newheightshow podcast account while holding rugby ball and wearing a USA hat.
“Jason’s Olympic fits just get better and better @ilona_maher,” the caption read.
His wife, Kylie Kelce, 32, later shared another shot of her husband wearing the look, although this time, he appeared tired after a full day of activities.
Maher has been a breakout star during the Olympics thanks to her viral social media videos.

Still, the bold outfit might have secretly been a good luck charm.
The team ended up taking home its first Olympic rugby sevens medal, securing the bronze following a hard-fought game against Australia.
However, the connection to Maher isn’t as random as it appears to be.
The 27-year-old rugby star — who recently became a viral social media sensation thanks to her hilarious and honest videos — approached Kelce prior to the game, asking him to be the team’s “superfan.”
“Women’s water polo has Flavor Flav as their superfan, and you are a girl dad,” she told him, while noting that there’s “no reward, no money, no benefits” that come with the title.
Kelce was game, telling the camera “I am officially a fan of women’s rugby, Olympics.”
Prior to Tuesday’s win, Kelce had agreed to be the women’s Olympics rugby team’s “superfan.”

He also arm wrestled rugby star Nicole Heavirland over the weekend.

He even threw around a rugby ball with Maher’s family, all of whom wore similar shirts featuring the athlete’s face, and arm wrestled another player, Nicole Heavirland, over the weekend.
Plus, he showed his Parisian spirit in a memorable beret earlier in the week.
