The 23-year-old was expected to battle for a significant role in Pittsburgh’s passing game after being a third-round pick out of Michigan.

George Pickens has established himself as the feature wide receiver after Dionte Johnson was traded to the Carolina Panthers this offseason.

Players like Wilson, Van Jefferson, Scotty Miller, and Calvin Austin III are expected to fight for targets behind him.

Did the Pittsburgh Steelers draft another top-level wide receiver in former Michigan Wolverines standout wideout Roman Wilson?

He certainly showed he could be the man in college.

Wilson led the Wolverines with 789 receiving yards and 12 touchdown catches to earn a second-team All-Big Ten nod in 2023, per Sports Reference.

As a junior in 2022, he caught 25 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two touchdowns.
