Fights are breaking out in NFL training camps across the country, and the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t exempt, as cameras caught a massive brawl that took place at their practice on Wednesday.
Things got ugly between offense and defense after new quarterback Justin Fields took a late hit from linebacker Elandon Roberts on a read option play. The offensive line had Fields’ back, with OL Mason McCormick shoving Roberts and sparking a melee.

It doesn’t look like anyone will be going to bed with hard feelings, but it’s great to see the Steelers’ offensive line defend their quarterback the way they did. You can already tell they won’t let anyone have their way with him during the season.
An Injury Has Opened An Opportunity Up To Justin Fields
Justin Fields has been getting starter reps at training camp following an injury to Russell Wilson. The veteran woke up with a calf issue last week and hadn’t been able to practice with the team for several days.
He has been doing work, having returned on Tuesday, but the Steelers are being cautious with him.
This leaves Fields with a great opportunity as he could prove he deserves to be the starter in Week 1. But there’s still quite some time to go before the start of the season.
