Social Media Noticed Something Very Wrong With Troy Aikman During Chiefs-Texans Divisional Round Game

Football fans noticed the same thing about Troy Aikman’s appearance in the Kansas City Chiefs-Houston Texans Divisional Round contest on Saturday.

Aikman and Joe Buck called their final game of the 2024 NFL season on Saturday, with the Chiefs defeating the Texans 23-14 to clinch a seventh straight trip to the AFC Championship Game. This was ESPN’s final broadcast for the season, with FOX, CBS and NBC airing the remaining playoff games.

During the game, fans noticed something strange about Aikman’s appearance in the broadcast booth. His eyes appeared to be bloodshot, and that led to all sorts of jokes from football fans:

“Troy Aikman is either drunk or he has pink eye. His eyes are bloodshot AF,” one fan wrote.

“Troy Aikman looks absolutely fried LMAO,” said another.

“Can somebody get Aikman some eye drops?? Guy looks like Towelie on the broadcast right now,” a fan said.

“What’s up with Troy Aikman? He’s either got a mean case of pink eye or he’s been smoking up a storm,” questioned a fan.

“Troy Aikman is doing the Kansas City Chiefs vs Houston Texans NFL game on ESPN and ABC Anyone else notice his eyes today,” another wrote.

“what’s up with Troy Aikman’s eyes – bags, red and look bloodshot????,” asked a fan.

Aikman and Joe Buck left FOX Sports in 2022 to take over the ‘Monday Night Football’ broadcasts. Under the current Super Bowl broadcast rotation, ABC/ESPN is set to call Super Bowl 61 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Troy Aikman Has Two Years Left On ESPN Contract

The three-time Super Bowl champion signed a lucrative five-year deal with the Worldwide Leader in Sports worth a reported $92.5 million. Assuming ESPN has been content with Aikman’s performance, it shouldn’t be long until he gets a contract extension.
