REPORT: One NFL Divisional Round Playoff Game Is Expected To Be Played Under Brutal Weather Conditions

Fans attending the Buffalo BillsBaltimore Ravens Divisional Round at Highmark Stadium on Sunday will want to dress extra warm.

For just the second time, Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills will meet Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens in the postseason. The last time they played, the Bills beat the Ravens 17-3 in a 2020 Divisional Round defensive slugfest en route to their first AFC Championship Game appearance in 27 years.

And according to the latest forecast, we’re in for freezing ice-cold conditions at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff for the showdown between the two AFC juggernauts is set for 6:30 p.m. EST

The latest forecast at AccuWeather calls for -14 conditions on Sunday evening, with 19 KM wind gusts and a 25 percent chance of precipitation. Buffalo Bills fans need to prepare for a good chance of snow, too.

The Bills-Cincinnati Bengals 2022 Divisional Round game at Highmark Stadium was hit hard by plenty of snow. For all the talk about the snow being an advantage for Buffalo, though, Cincinnati cruised to a 27-10 victory in that game.

The winner of the Bills-Ravens game will face the victor of the Kansas City Chiefs-Houston Texans tilt in the AFC Championship Game. Buffalo and Baltimore are looking to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 1993 and 2012, respectively.

Baltimore Ravens-Buffalo Bills Game Could Be An All-Time Classic

The Bills-Ravens game is already shaping up to be one of the best postseason games in recent memory. It’s not too often where the league’s two best quarterbacks in a specific season (in this case, 2024) square off in the playoffs, after all.

This year’s MVP race is between Allen and Jackson, the reigning winner. Throw in other big-name talents like James Cook, Von Miller, Derrick Henry and Kyle Hamilton, and you have the makings for a special game.
