VIDEO: AJ Brown Reveals The Truth About Why He Was Reading A Book On The Sidelines During Wild Card Game vs. Packers

AJ Brown was spotted reading a book on the bench amid his own quiet game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver didn’t have much to do on the field during Sunday’s 22-10 win over the Packers, so he decided to take up some reading instead.

Fox cameras showed Brown reading a book on the sideline as the Eagles made their way toward victory.

Brown – who finished the game with just one catch for 10 yards – explained the situation postgame after being asked about it by reporters.

AJ Brown stated he brings the same inspirational book to every game, it just took until the Wild card round for him to get caught.

“It gives me a sense of peace,” Brown said about reading during games, according to NFL Network’s Stacey Dales. “That’s the book that I bring in every single game. My teammates call it the recipe. That’s the first time I heard y’all got me on camera, but it’s not the first game. It’s got a lot of points in there, it’s a lot of mental game, a lot of mental parts about it. Works for me.”

He added: “It’s something like how I refresh every drive.”

The book that Brown was reading is “Inner Excellence” by Jim Murphy.

According to the cover, it is supposed to, “train your mind for extraordinary performance and fullness of life.”

The Eagles Are Going To Need AJ Brown With More Production To Go Deeper In The Playoffs

AJ Brown went viral Sunday after the TV broadcast showed the Eagles wide receiver reading a book on the sideline during Philadelphia’s 22-10 wild-card victory over the Green Bay Packers.

In the actual game, he only had one catch for 10 yards.

The team may have beaten a Packers team with that effort, but games are only going to get tougher, so Brown will need to be much better if the team has any plans to play in New Orleans.
