The Texas Longhorns are one of the most decorated college football franchises of all time and have one of the most talented rosters right now. Their appearance in the semi-finals is evidence of that, and Michael Taffee had the honor of joining the team.
Taffee plays defensive back for the Longhorns and just finished his junior year, so he still has a ton of time to play for another National Championship. Either way, the heartbreak the Longhorns suffered at the hands of the Buckeyes is terrible.
With one more season left at Texas, it seems far out of reach, but his goal of most likely making it to the NFL is not, as he has been with Texas since 2022 and has racked up 151 total tackles to go along with 13 passes defended, two sacks, and five interceptions.
Following the big game against Ohio, where he recorded just five tackles, Taffee was filmed as he was leaving the field amongst a crowd of Longhorns officials, and he was not happy at all following the 28-14 loss.

Michael Taffee Freaks Out Following Texas’ Loss At The Cotton Bowl
In the video, Taffee can be seen screaming off to the side as if he is in agonizing pain and not happy with the loss. Of course, many people walking off the field, including cheerleaders, were associated with the Longhorns.
One of the cheerleaders walking off looks very scared of the 6’0 “, 195-pound defender, and reasonably so. As the video is being filmed, one person can be seen walking up to the camera operator, saying, “It’s not worth filming.”
Whatever the case, as mentioned, the loss must be a gut punch to everyone involved with the Longhorns organization, and Taffee is taking it to heart. Next season is sure to be an interesting one at Texas.
