VIDEO: Jets QB Aaron Rodgers Makes Interesting Comments About His Future Amid Retirement Rumors Following Final Game Of The Season

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he doesn’t know what his future holds while speaking to reporters after Sunday’s win over the Dolphins.

Rodgers and the Jets closed their season out with a victory, finishing the campaign with a 5-12 record to end his second term with the team.

The QB isn’t expected to return to NY next season, while there are also suggestions that he could retire. But he was in no hurry to announce a decision on his future after his final game.

“I don’t know… I’m looking forward to those conversations with Woody [and the front office],” Rodgers told reporters, though he admitted he wouldn’t divulge any information even if he had any.

The four-time MVP would also make it clear that any decision to retire would not be because he couldn’t do it at a high level anymore.

“I know I can still play,” he said, per a team transcript. “I know I can still do the things I need to do to be successful. It just comes down to the desire on their side and, ultimately, my desire to play. Going to take some time mentally and physically to rest and relax.”
