The family of Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes wants a favor from the Chiefs fans just hours before the team’s critical matchup against the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs are gearing up for their week 18 game, where they’ll face the Broncos. Though Patrick Mahomes is resting and not expected to play in the last game of the regular season, his mom has come up with a strong message to all the fans.
Mahomes’s mom, Randi Mahomes, shared a heartfelt message in an Instagram story. Randi recalled how her father taught his grandchildren: “My daddy has always been the best… when he taught the kids to dive 😉. “ She further asked the Chiefdom and her fans to “Keep praying for him.”
Patrick Mahomes’s grandfather is hospitalized and Randi Mahomes hasn’t missed any way to ask fans for prayers. On December 28, Randi updated fans about her dad’s health issues and requested fans to pray for him. Randi wrote in her IG story, “͏Prayer͏ warriors, ͏please pray fo͏r͏ my daddy. He is in th͏e͏ hospital and i͏s ͏not well.. 🙏🙏🙏.”
Mama Mahomes is known for giving frequent updates about the family on social media. On Thanksgiving 2024, Randi shared a photo of her family, which also included her father. He seemed good at that time. That was the last time people saw Patrick’s grandfather before being hospitalized. It’s really a tough time for the Mahomes family, as they also lost Patrick’s granny last year.
It’s really a time of concern for the Chiefs’ superstar, but the show must go on. The Chiefs have another important game on the road. This time – to Denver!
Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs geared up for the regular season finale
Everything is set and the Kansas City Chiefs are now gearing up for the game against the Denver Broncos. We all know this is gonna be the last game of the season and it will be without Patrick Mahomes. He is taking a rest, but he must be ready to ‘dominate’ the opponents in the playoffs. But why does this game matter for both teams?
First of all, the Denver Broncos are not out of the playoffs contention. Shocked? Yeah. According to USAToday and also the official website of the Denver Broncos, in order to clinch a playoff spot they have to win the week 18 game vs the Chiefs. This one’s not gonna be a cakewalk for the Denver team!

Andy Reid, who has made a firm decision to start the final offseason game with Carson Wentz, has strongly spoken about the Broncos game. They are not going to take this game lightly at any cost to keep up the pace they have maintained with an insane 15-1 record.
However, talking about the game against Carson Wentz and the Chiefs, Sean Payton (Broncos HC) was ‘excited.’ When asked about the upcoming game, the Broncos HC said, “To play in this stadium, in a meaningful game at home? Shoot, I’m getting excited now talking about it.” It seems the game has already begun.
But before moving to a conclusion, here is an interesting fact! Do you know where the Denver Broncos stand vs the Chiefs in the past 10 years? Surprisingly, they have been in head-to-head contact 19 times in the last 10 years, and guess what? The Chiefs have won 17 out of 19 games. Bo Nix will have to work against some major odds, huh?
Thankfully for the Broncos, Patrick Mahomes is not gonna start and veteran Wentz has got an opportunity to start and fans will definitely witness a classing showdown at Empower Field in Mile High.
