VIDEO: Miami Hurricanes Players Were Throwing Punches At Each Other During Ugly Scene On The Sideline At Pop-Tarts Bowl

The first half of the Pop-Tarts Bowl between the Miami Hurricanes and Iowa State Cyclones features a lot of action that had nothing to do with football.

During the second quarter, Miami defensive linemen Simeon Barrow Jr. and Marquise Lightfoot were not too thrilled with each other, and their words eventually led to punches.

The two engaged in a shoving match on the sideline when Lightfoot stepped back and threw a pair of punches at Barrow. He was expecting them, and he perfectly got out of the way as teammates got in to separate them.

This is now what you want to see from players as they embark on their final game of the 2024 season.

The first quarter had plenty of other action from the Miami Hurricanes and Iowa State Cyclones.

That quarter alone featured six touchdowns, and the teams were tied 21-21 after the first 15 minutes.

As of this writing, Miami has 41 points in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter and is still down by one point.

Miami Hurricanes Getting Set To Say Goodbye To Cam Ward

Cam Ward made NCAA history in his final college game. The Miami quarterback threw a record-setting 156th touchdown pass of his college career Saturday.

He entered the game tied with former Houston QB Case Keenum for the most touchdowns of any player in Division I history.

The Miami Hurricanes quarterback finished the first half 12-of-19 passing for 190 yards and three scores before sitting out the second half.

He will now get ready for the next phase of his career as he will be selected for April’s NFL Draft.
