One Thing Currently Stopping Taylor Swift from Having Kids with Travis Kelce

At this point, it would probably be safe to say that Taylor Swift has pretty much done it all in her career. She already has 14 Grammy Awards to her name, her “The Tortured Poets Society” album remains atop the charts in 2024 and her soon-to-end “Eras Tour” is reportedly expected to gross over $2 billion. And she’s far from done.

All her success as a musician has prompted some of her fans to ask questions about her personal life. Swift is turning 35 on Dec. 13, which has left more than a few supporters wondering if she’s going to be taking the next step in her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

That is, whether or not Swift and Kelce are going to get married soon and if starting a family is on the horizon for the happy couple now that they’ve been in a relationship for more than a year.

According to a report by Us Weekly, the answer to both questions is yes. However, now is not the time.

An exclusive source told Us Weekly that the couple would “love to be engaged,” but at the same time, Swift and Kelce “aren’t rushing it.” As for having kids, the two are reportedly “on the same page” in terms of starting a family in the future. “Taylor would love to be a mom in the next few years,” Us Weekly’s source says.

“They’re very humble and family-oriented. That’s why [their relationship] works so well.” At the same time, however, it appears that both Swift and Kelce are planning to push this back a bit more. As of right now, there’s one thing stopping Swift from having kids with the three-time Super Bowl champion.

“She’s not considering kids right now because of her career,” said Us Weekly’s source, adding, “Taylor and Travis are both so busy.” Swift is currently on the final leg of her “Eras Tour,” which is finally set to reach its conclusion after nearly two years.

The “Karma” singer reportedly plans on working on her new album next year before potentially going on tour again in 2026. Kelce, on the other hand, is in the midst of a title defense with the Chiefs. In fact, they’re pushing for an unprecedented three-peat and are hoping to play in the 2025 Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

The couple still have a lot going on in their respective careers at the moment, and it appears that this will still be their priority — at least for the immediate future. As previously mentioned, a family of their own is still well within the picture. Just not right now.
