“He misses his fiancee fr”: Fans react to Caitlin Clark’s brother Blake napping watching Steph Curry-KD showdown

Although the 2024 WNBA season has been over for over two months, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is still involved in basketball. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was in attendance during Saturday’s contest between Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors and Kevin Durant’s Phoenix Suns.

Clark was not alone in watching the clash between the two NBA superstars as she was joined by her brothers Colin and Blake Clark. However, midway through the game, a video of Blake seemingly napping was captured and posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Basketball fans who saw the post immediately joked about Blake and what might have caused him to nap.

“He misses his fiancee fr,” one fan said.

“He would not do that when his sister plays. Must be a boring game,” another fan said.

“Still recovering from turkey overload,” one fan suggested.

Meanwhile, other people who saw the image suggested that Blake was on his phone, with a few even guessing what he was watching.

“I thought maybe he was watching something on his cell phone,” one fan said.

“10/10 watching the ISU football game on his phone,” one person guessed.

“You can see his phone propped on his leg, he’s most likely watching something,” one person chimed in.

The Phoenix Suns looked dominant against the Golden State Warriors, especially in the first half, with Caitlin Clark and her brothers in attendance.

The Suns (11-8) outscored the Warriors 66-49 in the first half of the game but the Warriors tried to mount a comeback in the third quarter. Golden State outscored Phoenix 29-19 in quarter number three to cut the lead to seven (85-78). The fourth quarter turned into a back-and-forth affair, with both sides going basket-for-basket.

Despite the game’s final frame being close, the Warriors (12-7) ultimately could not overcome the early hole they dug for themselves. The Suns won the game 113-105.

The NBA is reportedly planning on bringing Caitlin Clark in to participate in this season’s All-Star weekend

Last season, the WNBA collaborated with the NBA during All-Star weekend, when Sabrina Ionescu battled Steph Curry in a three-point shootout. Fans enjoyed the event, and the league reportedly plans to bring it back this year. However, it plans to improve it by including new competitors.

According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, both Curry and Ionescu are recruiting other shooters. Charania said on the Nov. 21 episode of the “Pat McAfee Show” that Klay Thompson and Caitlin Clark are the two players who are being recruited.

“Imagine that, you have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson on the NBA side,” Charania said. “Then you get Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark on the WNBA side. There’s definitely efforts being made to make this happen.” (0:54-1:04)

During the 2024 season, Sabrina Ionescu shot 33.3 percent of her 3-point shots (107-for-321). Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark shot 122-for-355 from beyond the arc (34.4 percent).
