“With the help of the refs”: NFL fans voice complaints at officials as Chiefs clinch playoff berth with ‘fraudulent’ win over Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs have done it again. They snatched another unlikely win as they beat the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17 on Friday to clinch a playoff spot. But like many others this season, their victory was not too convincing.

In the final moments of the game, the Raiders were on third down and within field goal range. But they decided to run a play instead of kicking.

But once the center snapped the ball to quarterback Aidan O’Connell, he fumbled the ball. The Chiefs recovered and held on for the win.’

With this victory, the Chiefs became the first team to clinch a playoff berth, although which seed will be determined in the coming weeks.

However, many NFL fans were not happy. One fan complained that the Chiefs won because they were being helped by the referees.

“with the help of the refs”

One fan included a graphic of the Chiefs’ “best player” in the game.

“Fraudulent wins week over week,” one fan claimed.

Other fans also chimed in with their reactions to the Chiefs winning a playoff berth and how the refs may have played a part in it.

“Those donations to @NFLOfficiating are really paying off.” one fan remarked.

“I’m not a conspiracy theorist but wow a lot ends up going their way lololololol” another fan suspected.

“CHIEFS BAILED OUT ONCE AGAIN!” one fan complained.

NFL analyst lists down different ways Chiefs have won this season

The Chiefs have won in the most unimaginable ways this season. Several of their victories were one-score wins and the team hasn’t scored any major blowouts, except against the New Orleans Saints this season.

Trey Wingo, the Chief NFL Analyst for Pro Football Network, pointed out on X the weird ways in which the Chiefs had won this season so far – from the start of the season against the Baltimore Ravens, where they won because Zay Flowers had one toe out of bounds in the endzone, to the Raiders game, where their opponents opted not to go for a field goal.

However, it remains to be seen whether the team will be able to sustain this level of good fortune once the playoffs start.
