VIDEO: Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard Is Not Happy With The Team For Using Him In Kendrick Lamar-Inspired Social Media Post, Reveals He’s An “OVO” Guy

Recently, the Carolina Panthers took to X to make a post about featuring Chuba Hubbard rapper Kendrick Lamar’s newest “TV Off” album with the caption “MUSTAAAARRRRRRRDDDDDDDD,” which is a popular line from one of the songs.

However, it appears that Hubbard did not enjoy using his image to promote Lamar’s image, as he recently announced he had already picked a side and was going with Drake.

“WE OVO OVER HERE,” he said about the post. Of course, if you’re familiar with “OVO,” you know it’s a record label founded by Drake in 2012.

Considered one of the biggest rap beefs in the modern era, social media made it clear how they felt about Hubbard’s opinion.

“So he likes diddy parties. Weird,” said one comment.

“Damn he’s Canadian AND on the Panthers? How many more L’s can he take?” said another..

“Wrong choice Chuba,” added a third..

“Bro on the losing side in both football and rap 💀,” a fourth continued.

Luckily for Hubbard, it doesn’t appear that the Panthers will be making the Super Bowl, so he won’t have to listen to Lamar as he performs during the halftime show.

Chuba Hubbard Is From Canada

Just like Drake, Chuba Hubbard is from Canada, so the alignment with the rapper makes a lot of sense.

Hubbard was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and attended high school in the country up north, where he accumulated 6,880 yards and 82 touchdowns.

It was not until his time at Oklahoma State that he started playing football in America.
