Travis Hunter Releases Massive “History” Making Announcement Ahead Of The 2025 NFL Draft

Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter has revealed his plans for the upcoming NFL draft amid his stellar season in Boulder.

Hunter, who has excelled at both the wide receiver and cornerback positions in college, is keen on going pro in 2025. And, while he isn’t expected to be deployed in both roles in the NFL, he intends to continue playing on either side of the ball after he makes the step up from college.

According to On3, the Buffs stud confirmed he will enter the 2025 NFL Draft during a Zoom call this week.

“That’s definitely for sure,” he was quoted as saying.

Travis Hunter Has Colorado In The Hunt For A Playoff Spot

Hunter has helped the Buffaloes to an 8-2 record in his second season with the program, putting up some ridiculous stats. The 21-year-old has recorded 74 receptions for 911 yards and nine touchdowns on offense, adding 23 tackles, three interceptions (including a pick-six), eight pass deflections, and one forced fumble on defense.

His performances have Colorado in the hunt for a College Football Playoff spot, with the program already set for a bowl appearance.

Travis is also the Heisman favorite this season and is expected to be among the top picks in the upcoming draft, if not No. 1 overall.

While playing at both the wide receiver and cornerback positions isn’t thought to be sustainable in the NFL, it will be interesting to see whether a team allows him to operate on both ends.

In the meantime, the Buffaloes are looking ahead to their final two games of the regular season, with their next coming against Kansas this Saturday and the other scheduled against Oklahoma State next Friday.
