The entire NFL is in complete shock and mourning after they were struck with some unfortunate news, as former NFL executive and agent Mike Ornstein passed away on Thursday.
Mike Ornstein has left a wave of emotions following his death at his home in Los Angeles.
He will be remembered as “cantankerous, unvarnished, fearless and fiercely loyal,” according to Jeff Duncan of the NEW ORLEANS TIMES-PICAYUNE.
Longtime New Orleans Saints beat writer and columnist Jeff Duncan shared news of Mike Ornstein ‘s unfortunate passing.
“Sad news: longtime NFL executive & agent Mike Ornstein died today at his home in L.A,” Duncan tweeted. “Ornstein was Reggie Bush’s agent when the Saints drafted him in 2006, & ‘Orny’ remained close to many in the organization, including Mickey Loomis & Dennis Allen. R.I.P. to a true original.”

The entire NFL was shaken about his passing since he had ties with a number of organizations around the league. Perhaps the most notable organization was the New Orleans Saints, as he served as the agent for former Saints star running back Reggie Bush.
From there, Mike Ornstein worked hard and eventually became the vice president of marketing in the NFL.
In addition to different organizations, many media members took to social media to speak on the impact Mike Ornstein had on them and the game.
A friend who was one of a kind. God bless, Orny. https://t.co/4aG9mNb8yO

So sad.
Orny was everywhere, all the time with a smile and stories for days. He was always great to me when we started NFLNet and always kind to my wife. Rest in peace, Orny. https://t.co/c1vcQ2ZJJs

Orny, not sure if I’ve ever met a more interesting person. Story time was my favorite time every time I saw you and I always joked I wanted to write your story for Netflix. You had 9 lives. This is so sad 💔 pic.twitter.com/GZKepOPn4v

Hard to describe this man. On the investigative beat, we had some near-fistfight exchanges. And he did threaten – jokingly (maybe) – to bump off myself and @JasonCole62. And then we forged a great relationship. You had to know Orny to understand it. I’ll miss him. RIP, brother. https://t.co/HM8XvQ1iAq

Mike Ornstein Got His Start In The Business Started Early
Michael Ornstein may have been born in New York, but he would soon make his way to Los Angeles to stay.
Before he became well known, he completed his studies at Indiana State University-School of Business and became a marketing agent and brand consultant who connected sports figures with endorsement deals, per his Slideshare.
Before he became known with the Saints, he worked for thirteen years for the then-Oakland Raiders and Al Davis. During his time, he took three trips to the Super Bowl.
The rest is history.
