NFL Fans Are Furious With Bengals Kicker Evan McPherson As Cameras Caught His Inexcusable Behavior After Costing His Team The Game vs. Chargers

NBC’s cameras caught Evan McPherson doing something after Sunday’s defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers, and let’s just say that Cincinnati Bengals won’t be happy with their kicker.

After trailing 27-6 in the third quarterJoe Burrow and the Bengals rallied for 21 unanswered points to tie the game. But Evan McPherson blew both chances to potentially play hero, missing go-ahead 48 and 51-yard attempts on back-to-back drives in the fourth quarter.

With the Chargers in field goal range, JK Dobbins scored the go-ahead rushing touchdown with 18 seconds left. The Chargers held off Burrow’s last-second heave to the end zone to seal the 34-27 win.

If Evan McPherson’s two misses weren’t hard enough for Bengals fans to watch, they probably won’t be happy with his post-game antics:

The loss drops Cincinnati to 4-7 on the season with six games to go. At this point, it’ll take a miracle for Zac Taylor’s squad to sneak back into the playoffs.

Evan McPherson Can’t Take All The Blame

Even if McPherson made either of those fourth-quarter field goal attempts, the Chargers would have had plenty of time to score. Lou Anarumo’s defense should take the blame for giving up 34 points, and the Burrow-led offense didn’t have to wait until the third quarter to show up.
