San Francisco 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa provided a concerning injury update following the team’s stunning 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Nick Bosa suffered what was reported to be a hip injury in the third quarter of the 49ers-Seahawks clash at Levi’s Stadium. Bosa had 1.5 sacks in the contest at the time of his injury and did not return, and Geno Smith stunned the home team with a game-winning touchdown run with 12 seconds left.
Bosa appeared on the injury report leading up to Week 11 with an oblique injury. Speaking to reporters after the contest, the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year revealed that he injured his other oblique and admits there is concern.
“It’s definitely there, I don’t know, we gotta see,” Bosa said when asked about his concern level on the injury.
Nick Bosa said he overcompensated on his second sack and now both obliques are injured. He was then asked his concern level of having to miss some time:

At 5-5, the 49ers are in a three-way tie for second in the NFC East. The Arizona Cardinals, who were on a bye week, lead the division with a 6-4 record.
49ers Need Nick Bosa To Have A Chance
The 49ers defense has been a giant disappointment this year, and it’s hard to envision them sticking around in the playoff race if Bosa misses ample time.
Bosa has been a game-wrecker for the 49ers since he entered the league in 2019. If he misses several games, the 49ers’ chances of locking down a fourth straight playoff berth will take a significant blow.
