Jason Kelce is incredibly excited for the holidays and understands that singing loudly for everyone to hear is the finest way to share Christmas cheer.
The 37-year-old Kelce continued his custom of working with a few other Eagles to record a charity holiday CD even after leaving the team. Additionally, he performed a special collaboration on stage prior to the team’s game on November 14.
The team later shared a video on social media showing the live performance of “Santa Drives An Astrovan,” a song from A Philly Special Christmas Party, which is said to be the third and last installment of the Christmas trilogy, by Mt. Joy, an indie-rock band based in Philadelphia and the Monday Night Countdown analyst.
It might be an understatement to say that fans were impressed.
“Literally what can’t he do ,” one top-liked comment gushed.
“Jason Kelce singing now? Next, he’ll be dropping a solo album and winning a Grammy because, clearly, being a football legend just wasn’t enough. ,” another quipped.
“WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF,” a third boldly declared in part.
With his most recent holiday smash, “Maybe This Christmas,” featuring Stevie Nicks, Kelce just dethroned Mariah Carey as the “Christmas Queen,” surpassing the pop diva for the top spot on the iTunes holiday songs chart. This November has brought more joy than the season usually does.
“You know, I’ve fought my whole life to be the Queen of Christmas, and the fact that we’re finally there,” the former Eagles player joked on the latest episode of his and his brother Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast. “It’s just really special.”
On Friday, November 22, the entire holiday album will be made available.
