VIDEO: Mike Tomlin Destroys Former Steelers Wide Receiver Diontae Johnson With Savage Comment Ahead Of Matchup vs. Ravens

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin made a savage comment about his former player, Diontae Johnson, ahead of his side’s crucial clash against the Baltimore Ravens.

Johnson will face his former team for the first time since being traded to the Carolina Panthers in the offseason.

The wide receiver was not happy with his usage in Pittsburgh and fashioned his way out, but his frustrations returned in Carolina, prompting yet another move.

Tomlin was questioned about the prospect of facing his former player on Tuesday, and he took the opportunity to have a go at him.

“To be honest with you, I hadn’t thought a lot about it,” he said. “He’s not on a lot of their video, and so at this stage of the week, I don’t know that I’ve weighed what he might mean to the matchup. They got more significant pieces with larger roles that are occupying my attention at this part of the week.”

Mike Tomlin Is Not Wrong

While this does seem like a dig, Tomlin didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, Johnson hasn’t been all that productive in Baltimore.

He didn’t make a catch in his 17 snaps on offense during his debut and saw just five snaps in his last appearance, recording a single catch.

Of course, he’s likely to be keen on a revenge game against his old team when they meet in this weekend’s AFC North clash, especially after he hears what Tomlin had to say. Then again, he might not experience that much usage.
