Cincinnati Bengals Are Working Out Former 1,000-Yard Rusher & Super Bowl Champion RB As They Desperately Look To Give Joe Burrow More Help

The Cincinnati Bengals desperately need an answer to help them rack up wins, and they may have found it in a former 1,000-yard rusher.

Even with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase at their dazzling best, the Cincinnati Bengals couldn’t quite do enough to get a win at Baltimore last week as they had a chance to even their record at 5-5 with a critical victory over an AFC North foe that had beaten them in overtime back on Oct. 6.

Instead, the Bengals lost another close one to the Ravens, 35-34, dropped to 4-6, and are still trying to figure out how to close out games against the league’s better teams.

Maybe one area for the Cincinnati Bengals is to get a better running game.

The pivot from being efficient in the run game to becoming more explosive has not gone the way the Bengals hoped for when they traded Joe Mixon, signed Zack Moss, and increased Chase Brown’s role.

Brown has two games where he has rushed over 80 yards. He only had 42 rushing yards against the Ravens.

To help the game, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that Leonard Fournette will visit on Monday as a free agent.’

He is still only 29 years old and may have something left in the tank that the Cincinnati Bengals could utilize.

The former No. 4 overall pick out of LSU had two seasons of over 1,300 yards from scrimmage, including a 1,674 scrimmage yard season in 2019.

The Cincinnati Bengals Are Running Out of Time

The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-6 and are running out of time to catch either the 7-3 Ravens or the 7-2 Steelers.

They would need to be flawless in order to secure at least a Wild card spot, but even that might be tough as of now.
