Dan Campbell is a pretty big guy.
The Detroit Lions coach stood at 6ft 5in and weighed 265 pounds during his playing days and is still jacked; so a podium needs to be really big to make him look tiny.
That was the exact situation when he spoke to reporters at the start of his team’s training camp on Wednesday morning. A photo of the coach looking less than average while standing behind a “huge” podium had fans in stitches.

“That’s the first thing that has made Dan look small 😂😂😂,” a fan observed
“HAHAHA 😆 😂 😆 any podium that makes dan Campbell look small is to freaking big,” another wrote.
“This looks like someone said they’d make the podium bigger for every 10 likes,” said a third.
“Haha at least he won’t break this one 😂😂😂,” someone joked.
Big Things Are Expected of Dan Campbell And The Lions Next Season
Dan Campbell’s Lions are heading into the 2024 NFL season as the favorites to win the NFC North and make it to the Super Bowl. They achieved the former last season and were one half of a football game away from the latter.
The franchise didn’t make any sensational signings, and they’re pretty much going into the term with the same team, with the biggest coming in the form of defensive tackle DJ Reader, who penned a two-year deal worth $27.5 million this offseason.
They also opted to lock down some of their best players, signing quarterback Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to a four-year, $120 million extension. Right tackle Penei Sewell also received a four-year extension to the tune of $112 million.
