Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Reveals Worrying Injury Update On QB Dak Prescott After He Left Game vs. Falcons

Soon after Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed he’s already “concerned” about the health of quarterback Dak Prescott.

The 31-year-old Dak Prescott left the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return. Cameras also caught the Cowboys’ medical team examining a painful-looking hand injury on the star signal-caller.

Per The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Jones said he’s “concerned” about Prescott’s hamstring injury. Prescott stayed healthy last season, but missed time in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 campaigns.

With Dak Prescott sidelined, backup Cooper Rush had to come in and finish the game. Rush completed 13 of 25 pass attempts for 115 yards and a touchdown, while Presccot went 18-of-24 for 133 yards, one touchdown and no picks.

Cowboys Are Finished If Dak Prescott Misses Time

The 3-5 Cowboys already look like they’ll miss the playoffs for the first time in four years. But if Prescott misses multiple games, the Cowboys’ chances of making the postseason are practically zero.

A brutal schedule awaits the Cowboys, who have to consider serious changes following yet another uninspiring loss. Perhaps that will include the removal of Mike McCarthy as head coach.
