VIDEO: Texas High School Football Game Had The Craziest Finish After Team Pulled Off Miraculous 99-Yard Walk-Off Fumble Return That You Have To See To Be Believed

The Wakeland football team snatched victory from the jaws of defeat on Thursday night with one of the most incredible endings you will ever see.

Unbeaten Lone Star was looking to keep things rolling when it visited Wakeland on Thursday night in Frisco, Texas.

The Wakeland Wolverines had just turned the ball over on downs to begin overtime of their District 5-5A Division I showdown with state-ranked, undefeated Lone Star.

Things looked grim for them as the Rangers only needed a field goal to break a 59-59 tie and secure the win.

Lone Star was certainly on the cusp of doing just that as they faced a third-and-6 from the Wakeland 9-yard line.

The Rangers would call a play where they plowed forward on a run by sophomore quarterback Karece Hoyt, who then got an extra push from his blockers to move close to the 1-yard line.

However, things would drastically change for Wakeland as Wolverines junior Austin Wilson somehow dislodged the football and emerged from the scrum with possession, per Star Local Media.

With a slew of blockers in front of him paving the way, Wilson returned the fumble 99 yards for a touchdown to win.

Wakeland ended up with a 6-3 record, while Lone Star dropped to 7-1.

The Wakeland Wolverines Blew A Double-Digit Lead And Still Came Out Victorious

The Wakeland Wolverines are waking up on Friday feeling good about themselves.

At one point during their game against previously undefeated Lone Star, the team had a double-digit lead heading into the final quarter.

Lone Star woke up and proceeded to send the game into overtime, where they looked to stay undefeated.

Unfortunately for them, a late fumble by their running back allowed Wolverines junior Austin Wilson to return the football 99 yards for the win.
