Fans on social media are praying for Xavier Newman after the player was taken off the field on Sunday night.
The New York Jets guard was carted off on a backboard following a brutal hit from Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen during the third quarter of the ‘Sunday Night Football’ feature.
Newman could not move while on the ground, where he remained for around five minutes before he was taken off.

Xavier Newman Was Able To Move Before Leaving The Stadium
There were fears Xavier Newman might be paralyzed after he sustained the blow, but the NBC broadcast crew has since reported that he was able to move and squeeze a coach’s hand.
He has been taken to a local hospital for treatment and observation.
