Aaron Hernandez was one of the most prominent names in the NFL circuit during the early 2000s. Flaunting the New England Patriots’ colors, Hernandez had one of the best phases of his life between 2010 to 2012. Playing as a tight end, the late NFL athlete helped the Patriots win some nerve-wracking games. The NFL tight end seemed to be enjoying a perfect life with a $40 million NFL contract until before things suddenly started to go haywire.
Accused of murder, the Patriots tight end got arrested and was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. Eventually, after serving his term in jail for a couple of years, Hernandez died by suicide. However, amidst all these legal battles, there was another character that played a major role in Aaron Hernandez’s life. It was his fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins. But the major question was, did she leave Hernandez’s side in the face of trouble? Let’s find out.
Aaron Hernandez And Shayanna Jenkins Had An On And Off Relationship
First things first. Shyanna Jenkins did not leave Hernandez amid his legal troubles. As a matter of fact, the duo crossed paths for the first time when they were kids. Falling in love instantly, they started dating each other in high school. Later on in 2012, Jenkins and Hernandez gave birth to their daughter, Avielle. Speaking to Dr. Phil in an exclusive interview back in 2017, Jenkins stated, “I want Aaron to be known as innocent because he was… He was full of life, so sweet, very lovable, would do anything for anyone … He’s the love of my life.”
Interestingly, the duo had an on-and-off ratio. Jenkins and Hernandez broke up when the NFL athlete joined the University of Florida. They reconnected once again when the late tight end joined the Patriots in 2010. Thus, even though Hernandez would be remembered as a villain, for Jenkins, he will always be the love of her life. Unfortunately, the charges brought against the deceased NFL athlete were gruesome.
The Shocking Story Of Aaron
The NFL tight end was accused of murdering Odin Lloyd in 2013. Interestingly, Lloyd was dating the sister of Shayanna Jenkins, which further raised doubts regarding Hernandez’s suspicious acts. Awaiting trials, things went worse for the NFL star as he was convicted of two more murders in May 2014. According to the reports, Aaron Hernandez murdered Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu outside of a Boston nightclub back in 2012.

Thus, with no other way to escape punishment, Hernandez was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment without a possibility of parole. Unfortunately, after just two years of serving his time in the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, the NFL athlete committed suicide after days of being found not guilty for the Boston nightclub killings.
