The proud Cleveland native faced some lighthearted criticism from fans for not wearing Guardians gear during the game. However, he got the last laugh later in the week when his hometown team came through with a thrilling victory.
On Thursday, the series shifted to Cleveland for Game 3, where fans were treated to an intense back-and-forth matchup that stretched into extra innings.
The Guardians clinched their first win of the ALCS with a walk-off home run by David Fry in the 10th inning, narrowing the series gap to 2-1, with the Yankees still in the lead. Game 4 is set to take place Friday night at Progressive Field.

After the Guardians’ dramatic win, Kelce shared his excitement on social media, celebrating the victory.
“I’ve been a cleveland sports fan my entire life…” Kelce wrote on X. “Make it back to countless amount of games over the years both Guards and Cavs just to enjoy these memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!… and I don’t wear Cleveland gear one time and all of a sudden I’m not a real fan?!
