(Video) Garrett Wilson’s INSANE mid-air adjustment on Aaron Rodgers’ scramble throw helps Jets take lead against Bills

Monday Night Football had two teams who needed a win to help them get back on track. That means both sides will be itching to put on a show.

The Buffalo Bills just have correct a lot of the mistakes shown in previous games. But for the New York Jets, pride is above anything else. With the entire footballing community’s spotlight on Aaron Rodgers and his teammates, one throw to Garrett Wilson sent eyebrows popping up.

The Jets first struck the scoreboard with a field goal. But then on the ensuing drive, Josh Allen ran into the end zone to put the Buffalo Bills up. Such a situation with already much of the quarter over, the pressure was on Rodgers and his teammates to come up with something.

led his team down the field as they lined up close to the end zone. Their first two plays ended up not delivering any results. Then on third down, the Bills collapsed the Jets offensive line.

Aaron Rodgers, with his 20-years of experience saw this developing, ran up the field covering 4 or 5 yards and then threw a dart to the end zone. Garrett Wilson was the recipient, but it was ruled incomplete as the young wideout was deemed to have gone out of bounds. But then, they checked the replays to see that even though Wilson’s feet were initially in the air, he managed to bring them down before sliding out.

The officials watching this changed the ruling on the field and awarded a touchdown. The result saw new play caller Todd Downing excited and yelling on the sidelines. That reaction was warranted considering the numerous times the media have tried to dissect Rodgers and Wilson’s chemistry.

Aaron Rodgers shows mobility as New York Jets fight to win at home

The narrative before the Robert Saleh firing was the health and fitness of Rodgers. After enduring some knocks against the vaunted Minnesota Vikings defense, many wondered if Rodgers’ lack of mobility will hamper the New York Jets. But with tonight’s performances so far, those questions seem to have vanished.

As all he needs is to move enough to stay away from opposing defenders. This 4–5-yard scramble and throw off his back foot shows he has enough to still make plays out of nothing. Just that the rest of the team will need to adjust to that.

Those are the kinks in the offense that the New York Jets need to work on. This game against the Buffalo Bills serves as one of the better chances to figure that out. Fixing their offense while on the field now is better than when they play against stud defenses.
