Former NFL QB Brett Favre Makes It Obvious Who He’s Voting For In 2024 U.S. Presidential Election

Green Bay Packers legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre has made it obvious who he’ll vote for in the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Brett Favre endorsed Donald Trump for reelection in 2020 on X/Twitter. Several other prominent former athletes, such as Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Orr and golf icon Jack Nicklaus, also endorsed Trump that year.

When Favre spoke on Jason Whitlock’s “Fearless” podcast last year, Favre opined that the nation was in better hands with Trump. He also questioned if President Joe Biden cares about Americans “first and foremost” the same way as Trump.

“I think Donald was a non-political president, and I liked that about him. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I’m flawed just like the rest of ’em. We’re all flawed. But, I really felt like he had our country in a better place and really cared about our people in our country.”

In the summer of 2020, Favre was seen playing a round of golf with Trump at one of the latter’s courses, Trump National, in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Biden defeated Trump in the 2020 election, marking the first time where the incumbent was defeated since 1992, when Bill Clinton defeated George H.W. Bush. Trump won the Republican nomination this year and is looking to become just the second U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms, along with Grover Cleveland.

The 81-year-old Biden announced on Sunday that he’s withdrawing from the presidential race. This made him the first president since Lyndon Johnson (in 1969) to not seek reelection.

Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee. The party is undergoing a review to determine their candidate.

Brett Favre Is One Of Many Notable Athletes Supporting Trump

As previously noted, Favre isn’t the only high-profile athlete (past or present) to endorse Donald Trump. Aside from Nicklaus and Orr, Trump had the backing of John Elway, Jim Brown, Herschel Walker, Mike Ditka, Mike Piazza, Darryl Strawberry, Mariano Rivera, Curt Schilling, Bob Cousy, Mike Tyson and Greg Norman, among others.

Trump has also received donations from plenty of NFL owners, including Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), Shad Khan (Jacksonville Jaguars), Stan Kroenke (Los Angeles Rams) and Stephen Ross (Miami Dolphins).
