Seattle Storm<\/a>\u00a0guard Nika Muhl appeared to sustain a serious knee injury while playing overseas this week.<\/p>\n Muhl played little during her first season in the\u00a0WNBA<\/a>, scoring only one basket all year. However, she remains one of the league\u2019s most popular players.<\/p>\n She can thank the defense she played against\u00a0Caitlin Clark<\/a>\u00a0for UConn in the\u00a0NCAA<\/a>\u00a0Tournament for her rise to fame. The outing, despite ending in a loss, had everyone talking about the feisty Croatian who locked Clark down.<\/p>\n Muhl went on to become the No. 14 overall pick by the Storm earlier this year, though the team didn\u2019t give her significant minutes. She opted to play for Turkish side Besiktas during the offseason in a bid to prepare herself for her second term in the pros.<\/p>\n Things went awry this Thursday as the guard went down with a gruesome knee injury while playing against former Storm teammate Gabby Williams and Fenerbahce S.K. She appeared to twist her knee on an awkward landing after snatching a rebound.
