On Sunday,\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0wide receiver\u00a0Rashee Rice<\/a>\u00a0suffered a brutal knee injury that was initially feared to be an ACL tear but is likely much less severe. The injury happened after Patrick Mahomes collided with Rice while both tried to make a tackle after an interception.<\/p>\n On Thursday, while talking to reporters, Mahomes revealed what was going on in his mind during the play.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t notice it in the moment, I more worried about trying to get the ball,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Mahomes said.\u00a0\u201cBut obviously, I was just trying to make a play, and it happens whenever you\u2019re trying to make tackles.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n He later touched on his reaction to the injury after seeing the replay and the injury for the first time.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, when I saw the replay, I felt like shit that I hit Rashee,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he continued.\u00a0\u201cI think that\u2019s pretty much all \u2014 I mean, I wasn\u2019t worried about myself.
