Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>\u00a0castoff\u00a0Brett Harris<\/strong>\u00a0credited retired NFL star\u00a0Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for paving the way for more body inclusivity in Bachelor Nation.<\/p>\n

Harris, 28, quickly became a fan favorite when he stepped out of the limo during night one of season 21 starring\u00a0Jenn Tran<\/strong>. His larger build compared to past contestants came as a pleasant arrival to viewers, although he was eliminated by Tran, 26, later that night at the rose ceremony.<\/p>\n

The contestant appeared on \u201cThe Viall Files<\/a>\u201d podcast on Tuesday, July 16, to talk about his experience on the reality dating show. Host\u00a0Nick Viall<\/strong>\u00a0said fans saw the body diversity as \u201ca breath of fresh air,\u201d adding that many were upset to see him go so quickly. Harris took the opportunity to give credit to Kelce, 36, for boosting his confidence while noting that there are no hard feelings between him and Tran.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m representing my offensive linemen on the show, for sure. Jason Kelce has paved the way for me to be able to be here. I\u2019ll forever be grateful for that man,\u201d Harris, who is a former football player himself, said. \u201cI don\u2019t deserve any special treatment because of that. If the chemistry wasn\u2019t there, it wasn\u2019t there, and I\u2019m not sour about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce has charmed fans thanks to his unmatched career with the Philadelphia Eagles and his and brother\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast. In addition to his professional accolades, Jason has always let his wild personality shine, which includes ripping his shirt off whenever he\u2019s having a good time at a public event, like watching the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Buffalo Bills<\/a>\u00a0during the 2023 playoffs. Kelce\u2019s carefree attitude has garnered him a lot of admiration, and in November, the football center was even named one of\u00a0People<\/em>\u00a0magazine\u2019s sexiest men alive.<\/p>\n

As for Harris, Bachelor Nation didn\u2019t get to see much of his personality during the premiere episode before he was sent home. He called Tran an \u201cawesome girl\u201d but admitted they ultimately didn\u2019t have the chemistry.<\/p>\n

Tran\u2019s season of\u00a0The Bachelorette<\/em>\u00a0kicked off on July 8, and the leading lady teased that there are a lot of \u201ctwists and turns\u201d on her journey to find love.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to see all of that play out,\u201d Tran told\u00a0Deadline<\/a>\u00a0after the premiere episode. \u201cHonestly, I\u2019m most excited to see my self growth, because I really feel like I\u2019m a totally different person now than I was at the beginning of it. So it\u2019ll be really nice to see that growth, and all the moments that helped that growth happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
