The cause of death for Major League Baseball legend and all-time hits leader\u00a0Pete Rose<\/a>\u00a0has been announced.<\/p>\n The baseball world is grieving the loss of Pete Rose, who passed away on Monday at the age of 83. Rose\u2019s death stunned the\u00a0MLB<\/a>\u00a0community; the day before his passing, he was at a public autograph signing event in Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n Per Erin Couch and Dan Horn of the\u00a0Cincinnati Enquirer<\/em>, Clark County, Nevada, coroner Melanie Rose\u00a0announced that<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0Cincinnati Reds<\/a>\u00a0icon died from \u201ca serious heart condition\u201d at his home. It was noted that roughly 50 percent of Americans over the age of 45 suffer from the condition that Rose had:<\/p>\n \u201cRose, 83, suffered from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which occurs when blood vessels become thick and stiff, forcing the heart to work harder and making it more difficult to circulate oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Pete Rose had experienced health issues for several years but frequently traveled and regularly attended casinos in Vegas, the\u00a0Cincinnati Enquirer<\/em>\u00a0added.<\/p>\n I wasn\u2019t old enough when this was taken but once I was we always walked out together!
