The\u00a0Dallas Cowboys<\/a>\u00a0collectively held their breath when\u00a0Micah Parsons<\/a>\u00a0suffered an ankle injury against the Giants.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys defense has had a tumultuous couple of weeks. They have been getting gashed on the ground in home losses against the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens.<\/p>\n

Although they won a game against the Giants, three-time All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons had to be carted from the sidelines after suffering an apparent lower left leg injury while diving to knock away a pass intended for wide receiver Wan\u2019Dale Robinson.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys star defender underwent an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of his ankle injury, and\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0Media later reported that he sustained a high-ankle sprain.<\/p>\n

According to NFL Network\u2019s\u00a0Ian Rapoport,<\/a>\u00a0Parsons will be sidelined for at least 7 to 10 days before he is re-evaluated to set a timeline for his return.<\/p>\n

That means he is unlikely to be available for their next game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n

The team is also having a rough next stretch as they will then face the Detroit Lions, the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

The team could very well be under .500 if things do not go right without Micah Parsons.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys\u2019 win over the New York Giants falls into a bad win since they lost so much.<\/p>\n

Dallas got the win, and it desperately needed to return to .500, but pass rusher Micah Parsons suffered a high ankle sprain.<\/p>\n

Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is also dealing with a mid-foot sprain.<\/p>\n

Head coach\u00a0Mike McCarthy<\/a>\u00a0did say he thinks both Parsons and Lawrence and \u201cdefinitely\u201d be back at some point in the 2024 season.<\/p>\n
